|Andrew Drumm Institute
Memories 1929 - 1984
|On May 5, 1983, this magnificent Burr Oak towering over
the entrance to the Andrew Drumm Institute, was cut down
to widen Lee's Summit Road. The Stone entrance that was
there in 1919, was removed at that time, and according to
Mr. Berkemeier, it was to be replaced by the city of
Independence but never was.
